Located in Fountain Hills, Eagle Mountain is all about the views. Standing on the raised tee box of this Scott Miller-designed course, the par-5, 554-yard Number 4 hole offers golfers a striking panoramic view of Camelback Mountain, downtown Phoenix, and Greater Phoenix at large. The fairway slopes downhill, losing some 500 feet of elevation. The fairway’s wide stature allows for a comfortable tee shot, and a bunker awaits you in front of the green. The best shot is to lie up and make your third swing onto the green.

On the back side you’ll encounter the 420-yard, par-4 Number 18, the course’s signature hole. On the tee box you’re standing on the highest point on the course. Below you the fairway drops more than 800 feet. If you can, plan to hit this hole in the late afternoon, when the sun sets Red Mountain ablaze. The glowing landmark will tower right in front of you as you tee up your ball. Bunkers down the right side come into play on your second shot. It’s easy to see why many consider Number 18 one of the best finishing holes in the area.

Sprawling vistas, dramatic elevation changes, and award-winning golf are what you can expect at Eagle Mountain. In fact, since opening in 1996, the course has earned numerous awards including Best New Public Golf Course by the Arizona Republic, and Best of Phoenix Public Golf Courses by the Phoenix New Times.

To complete the experience, Eagle Mountain Golf Academy (formerly Platinum Golf Academy) offers golf schools, clinics, corporate outings, and private lessons under the direction of one of Arizona’s most highly regarded golf instructors, Derek Nannen.

Professionally managed by OB Sports— the same folks who manage Longbow Golf Club, The Duke, and We-Ko-Pa Golf Club— you can count on the same course conditions and customer service that put these clubs on the Phoenix must-play list.
