Sprawling vistas, captivating elevation changes, and award-winning golf are what you can expect at Eagle Mountain Golf Club. In fact, on the year it opened, 1996, the course was celebrated as the Best New Public Golf Course by the Arizona Republic. Since then Golf World honored Eagle Mountain as one of the "Top 50 Public Courses in the Country," and Golf Digest awarded Eagle Mountain with 41/2 stars out of 5.
Located in Fountain Hills, Eagle Mountain Golf Club pitches and rolls with the dramatic topography of the property. The McDowell Mountains jut up from the desert floor dividing Scottsdale to the west from Fountain Hills to the east. The golf course weaves its way around these craggy mountain peaks and through shady desert arroyos loaded with mesquite, palo verde, and saguaro cacti making Eagle Mountain the quintessential Sonoran Desert track. The views from the golf course are stunning with the entire southeastern Valley of the Sun on display.
A good example of Eagle Mountain's rugged appeal lies on the back nine. The tee box on the par-4 18th marks the highest point on the golf course with the fairway situated some 400 feet below. The view from this perched position is spectacular, especially when the afternoon sunshine sets nearby Red Mountain ablaze. As you take in this stunning vista, it's easy to see why many consider Number 18 as one of the best finishing holes in the area.
To complete the experience, Eagle Mountain Golf Academy offers golf schools, clinics, corporate outings, and private lessons under the direction of one of Arizona's most highly regarded golf instructors, Derek Nannen.
Professionally managed by OB Sports Golf Management&mash;the folks who also manage Longbow Golf Club and We-Ko-Pa Golf Club&mash;you can count on the same great course conditions and customer service standards that put these clubs on the Phoenix must-play list.
